We are here to offer hope

ADOLESCENTS

What a wonderful, and yet challenging, time of life! Due to the present day culture, even children being raised in a very loving family can still experience emotional challenges. Adolescents face extraordinary pressures on social, emotional, physical and academic levels. Fast-paced societal changes spurred on by social media create identity challenges unknown to previous generations. If you are a parent or guardian, it can be distressing to see your loved one struggling and not know exactly how to respond and offer help. If you are the one seeking counseling, good for you!  Pursuing support is a very healthy choice.

Aligning with our core belief system, we are committed to providing a compassionate, in-touch and personal approach in our counseling methods.       We have extensive experience working with this age group in various settings, including schools, camps and private sessions.

It has been said,“children are great recorders, but terrible interpreters”.  That      is a very true statement. With so many mixed messages being presented to young people, it is difficult to determine what is ‘normal’?!

Our approach is very practical and straight forward.  By using ‘hands on’ and interactive methods,  we engage clients in the counseling process. ‘Homework’ assignments are given after each session to enhance healing and learning.
